Apps can only be downloaded from app store
Windows 10’s Creators Update has a switch you can flip to only allow apps from the Windows Store. This feature can also be used to whitelist your existing desktop apps, only allowing your currently installed applications to run and blocking new applications until you allow them. It’s similar to Gatekeeper on macOS. You can change or turn off this restriction by accessing the Settings app. Go to System-> Apps and features. Then switch from the current option to other ones. There are three options you can select: Allow apps from anywhere. Prefer apps from the Store, but allow apps from anywhere. Allow apps from the Store only. To download and buy apps from the App Store, you need an Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the account that you use to access Apple services. If you use other Apple services like iCloud, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple ID. If you don't have an Apple ID, you can create one.
